
1. Brief introduction of the school
The School Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Wuxi Taihu University was founded in 2004, it used to belong to the department of mechanical engineering and independent from the original school of engineering In 2016. Now it has two majors, Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronic Engineering. After more than 10 years of efforts and experience accumulation, it has a good teaching philosophy, teaching conditions and a complete talent training system.

2. Brief introduction of majors
(1) Mechanical engineering:
Training objective: Students have the theoretical basis of mechanical design, manufacturing and control and have the ability of engineering practice and can be engaged in various mechanical products and systems design, manufacturing, technical management and marketing applications.
Professional features:
3D data engineering: including 3D modeling (digital design), 3D data management, etc.
Intelligent manufacturing: including artificial intelligence, virtual processing, virtual assembly and 3D printing, etc.
(2) Mechatronic engineering:
Training objective: Students have the theoretical basis of machinery, electronics, machine control and computer and have the ability of engineering practice and can be engaged in design, technical management and marketing of mechatronics products and systems.
Professional features:
Robot technology: including robot mechanical structure and kinematics, robot detection technology and robot control;
Intelligent machinery: including electromechanical integration, automatic machinery, automatic line, machine vision technology, touch, grasping, crawling, walking and artificial organs.
