Taihu University of Wuxi is a multidisciplinary applied university approved by the Ministry of Education. It coordinates the development of engineering,business,art,literature,science and medicine,with a special focus on engineering and business.It is a key private university emphasized by both Jiangsu Province and Wuxi City.The university consists of over 20 schools or department, 35 majors, covering an area of over 20 schools or departments and offers 35 majors.It covers an area of 2,000 acres, has over 20,000 teachers and students in total,and is in the top ranks of universities in China in size and scales.
The university is located beside the Huishan National Forest Park,and has a quiet and enjoyable environment. The former president of Beijing Normal University holds the post of chancellor, President Xu Congcai leads a group of experts and teachers in developing a learning environment with the highest standards.The university employs more than 100 experts and prominent teachers who are subsidized by the government, and has senior professors and doctoral supervisors from well-know schools such as Nanjing University,Southeast University and Jiangnan University. Among the teaching staff, 60% of the teachers are senior level or above, and 90% of them hold a Master’s degree or above.
